Italian Swoop Tour -MOLINELLA, May 9-10th, 2008
The second meet of the Italian Swoop Tour, held at Flygang in Molinella, took place under blue skies. 15 competitors were in attendance and enjoyed coaching and feedback from PD Factory Team members Ian Bobo, Shanon Pilcher, and Jonathan Tagle.
Friday was devoted to training & coaching, but on Saturday competition started with Distance rounds.
The first 2 rounds went progressed with increasing winds which put the competition hold until later in the day. Saturday ended with a beautiful sunset and gorgeous Factory Team landings in front of an awe struck public.
The meet continued on Sunday with Zone Accuracy. A few spectacular water landings reminded everyone to keep safety as their primary focus. The PD boys were on hand again to debrief both the group and individuals on what could be done better.
The downwind conditions in Zone Accuracy proved challenging for the competitors. The extra speed in the downwind landings tested skills of veterans as well as newcomers.
Please visit the Italian Swoop Tour website for scores and more information.
Congrats to Michael Vaughan, Ivan Colella and Riccardo Paganelli for taking home the medals!

Flygang Skydiving
give many thanks to the PD Factory Team’s Shannon Pilcher, Ian Bobo and Jonathan Tagle for visiting Molinella’s Flygang to jump, have fun, catch up with old friends, meet new ones and of course transmiting their vast experience and knowledge to others in one of Italy’s greatest parachuting events.
What more could you ask for? Only 2009’s PDTF event at Flygang can tell. One thing is for sure, whoever takes part will not be disappointed. Photo, videos and news can be found on the following site:
